About me

My name is Bill Petzold. I'm a writer, artist, musician and all-around creative guy from Vassar, Michigan, a small town about 20 minutes from Saginaw.

Until recently I was the editor of a bi-weekly newspaper called the Tuscola County Advertiser, and for the past several years I have been employed as a journalist, sports writer, auto racing correspondent, copy editor, staff writer and editor. My position as editor was recently laid off due to money concerns, and I am currently seeking work of a creative nature.

I enjoy reading and writing, and have several fiction projects currently in the works. I play seven instruments, but mainly keyboards and guitars lately. I have written more than 100 original songs and continue to actively perform and write music. I also enjoy playing video games, spending time with friends and hanging out with my dog, Ted.

I have been the organist at Grace Lutheran Church since September 2008. I continue to play weekly services.
